NEWSROOM nouvelles@eap.on.ca A CHARLES DICKENS CLASSIC TO HIT THE STAGE IN RUSSELL With a cast of 40, they are presenting the classic story of Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens, adapted by Joellyn Bland, with show dates April 10, 11, 12, and 13 at 7:30 p.m. plus a matinee on Saturday, April 13, at 2:00 p.m., at the Russell High School. The company is proud to be able to give almost 30 youth (under 21) the opportunity to perform in a large-scale production. Sup- ported by adult actors, such as Len Trembley as Fagin, Scott Tomlinson as Bill Sykes, Jen- and Pamela Pearson, the company also draws on the experience of designer, Len Trembley, scenic artist Stephanie Knight, sound design by Robin Dumas and the light- ing expertise of Stuart Brink. La troupe de théâtre L’Envol promet à ses spectateurs une envolée parti- culière avec sa toute dernière pièce intitulée Carlingue pour St-Domingue. C’est la 12 e pièce de théâtre de cette troupe qui existe depuis autant d’années. L’histoire se veut plutôt drôle. « Vous êtes l’heureux gagnant d’un voyage aller-retour pour sept jours, toutes dépenses payées, en République dominicaine. Il n’y a qu’un détail qui saurait peut-être vous décourager d’accepter ce prix. Air Jura, la compagnie aérienne offrant le voyage, est en déroute. Son personnel est incompétent et ses portes fermeront si cette vieille carlingue ne tient
L’Association de Russell pour les arts de la scène (RAPA) se prépare pour sa nouvelle production du printemps. Avec un casting de 40 comédiens, l’Association de Russell pour les arts de la scène présente l’histoire classique d’Oliver Twist, de Charles Dickens, adaptée par Joellyn Bland, les 10, 11, 12 et 13 avril, à 19 h 30, et en matinée, le samedi 13 avril, à 14 h, à l’école secondaire publique de Russell.
