Collector’s Love for Precious Moments Goes Beyond the Curio K aren Aurand from Wayne, Ohio enjoys a lot of things. Perhaps a bit surprising, one of them is riding Honda Gold Wing motorcycles with her husband, Eugene. Not so surprising is spending time with her children, Charlie and Carrie. But one of her favorite things to do is finding ways to incorporate her love for Precious Moments into her seasonal decorating and celebrations. Walk up to her door and step into her home and you are treated to a mesmerizing menagerie of all things Precious Moments! Her imagination shows no end. She loves to pull out a selection of her favorite pieces to celebrate each season. She has also had custom wooden cutouts made, with permission, to display in her yard. On those chilly autumn evenings she can curl up with one of the beautiful quilts her daughter made for her. These quilts are extra special because they were created from Precious Moments sweatshirts and t-shirts she’s collected over the years.

For the fall season, Karen sits out her favorite pilgrims and Native American figurines. She’s decorated Precious Moments planters with mums and displays fall-themed pieces around her home. When winter comes around, a sweet snowman with Precious Moments girl cutout will be displayed outside with a spotlight on it, as well as a Precious Moments Nativity and plenty of festive figurines and ornaments.
During this time of year, Karen pulls her favorite fall figurines out from behind the glass and decorates her yard too.
