FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND STUDENT EMPLOYMENT

TUITION AND FEES Nonresident Tuition and Fees

$15,945

More than 90 percent of international students receive financial assistance/scholarships through the Nonresident Tuition Waiver (NTW) program. Degree-seeking international students who qualify for admission are given consideration for NTW awards, which reduce tuition by $5,300-$7,200, depending on academic achievement. NTW awards are renewable for four years. Many international students work on campus. Continuing students are eligible to apply for more than 100 foundation scholarships after they have finished two semesters. HOW TO APPLY AS AN UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT

ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROGRAM AND CONDITIONAL ADMISSION Students who do not meet the UW-Superior English proficiency requirement may be eligible for conditional admission and are welcome to contact us regarding options to meet the requirement. Submit the following items to be considered for undergraduate admission and Nonresident Tuition Waiver (NTW). Color scans are generally accepted. • Application for admission (uwsuper.edu/apply) • Official Transcripts • Proof of English language proficiency (TOEFL: 61/IELTS: 5.5/ Duolingo 100) • SAT or ACT optional • Financial Verification Form and bank statement

ABOUT UW-SUPERIOR

LOCATION UW-Superior is located in the safe, welcoming City of Superior, Wisconsin, on the shore of Lake Superior, the largest freshwater lake in the world. Superior is in the Superior-Duluth metro area, a regional tourist destination with a population of 270,000+, including more than 20,000 college/university students.

The University of Wisconsin-Superior is a part of the University of Wisconsin System, one of the largest and strongest public university systems within the United States. UW-Superior is home to nearly 200 international students from almost 40 countries. More than 2,600 students are enrolled at UW- Superior. Our classes have a 13:1 student-to- faculty ratio. The average class size on campus is 17 students. Students are supported by friendly, professional and experienced staff in the Office of Intercultural Student Success. UW-Superior offers more than 60 student organizations and 19 varsity sports. There are many opportunities to get involved on campus, conduct research, develop leadership skills, take part in internships or join academic and other kinds of clubs. 93% of students are employed or pursuing a graduate degree six months after graduating.
