As Director of Campus Infrastructure and Operational Support Services I have responsibility for ensuring that the university benefits from a world-class physical and digital environment and services that support the University’s mission and vision to be a global 100 research leader. You will be joining at a transformational time for CIOSS. We have brought together 3 professional services teams to create CIOSS, a unified directorate that will deliver a world-class environment that places the University customers at the very heart of what we do. This new era together with our ambitious strategies to enhance our estate, digital, commercial services and sport & grounds offerings mean that you will join to play a key role within a dynamic environment with a strong sense of purpose and aspiration. The University of Exeter estate comprises over 360,000 square metres of academic, administrative, commercial and residential accommodation on 430 acres of land across Devon and Cornwall. We are currently in the early stages of a programme to invest c.£450m to deliver the physical and digital environment we need to support world-class research and an internationally excellent education, accommodating our students and our world leading academics in exceptional teaching, learning and research spaces. The Assistant Director, Capital Development will take up the crucial role of built environment capital portfolio leader with responsibility for ensuring that the estate development projects which emanate from the University’s capital programme are successfully delivered in line with expectations. The role holder will develop, lead and motivate an internal team of project management professionals to deliver a diverse range of capital projects typically ranging from £2m to £50m in value. This role gives an individual the unique opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of a capital programme of c. £450m in value across one of the most beautiful and diverse campus environments in the UK.
