Samuel Paquette scored a hat trick for the Royals with Justin Proulx popping in the remaining Bytown goal. Assists came from William Lachapelle and Nicolas Loyer. Tye Agardy was in the net. As of the end of December, the Cougars sit in second place in the National Capital Junior Hockey League with 34 points. The Clarence Creek Castors lead with 37. The Cougars host the Castors January 5 at the Vankleek Hill Arena, then go on the road Sunday to face the Gatineau Hull-Volant.

The Saint-Isidore Aigles almost finished the 2018 portion of the National Capital Junior Hockey League schedule with a win, but instead lost the December 23 afternoon game in Clarence Creek to the Castors. The home team skated off with a 4-3 victory. Scoring for Saint-Isidore were Jeremy Arbour, Tyler Druce, and Ryan Wells. Assisting on the goals were Zackary Bougie, Jakob Brunette, Patrick Charlebois, Daniel Mac- Donald, and Ismael Prudent. Irving Dawson warded the Saint-Isidore net. Punching in goals for the Castors were Étienne Agius-Pease, Nicholas Chatelain, Samuel Gaudet, and Patrick Lemay. Goal assists came from Agius-Pease, Lemay, Kyle Green, Sam Paquette, Tyler Paul, and Raphaël Payant, with Corey Camirand guar- ding the net. The new year begins in Ottawa, January 4, with Saint-Isidore facing the Bytown Royals. Saint-Isidore hosts the Royals Sunday night.

s’est une fois de plus démarqué pour enfi- ler son deuxième de la soirée, et à deux minutes de la fin, on a vu Jacob Lamont, aidé de Beaudoin et Martin, déjouer le gardien adverse, accordant une avance de trois buts aux siens. Cayden Martin et Nathan Brown ont mis un terme à cette partie en enfilant le qua- trième et le cinquième but de la rencontre, donnant la victoire aux Panthères. Le gardien de Winchester n’a eu aucune chance et s’est fait bombarder de 45 tirs. Les trois étoiles ont été Alexandre Caron des Panthères, le gardien Joshua Ivansky des Panthères, qui a arrêté 21 lancers, et Jacob Lamont, également des Panthères.
C’est un beau cadeau de Noël que les Panthères d’Embrun se sont offert sur la route. Une fois de plus, ils ont écrasé leurs rivaux, les Hawks de Winchester, avec un blanchissage de 5-0. C’est Alexandre Caron qui a rapidement ouvert la marque à 3:31 après avoir accepté la passe de son coéquipier, Cayden Martin. Aucun autre joueur n’a trouvé le fond du filet par la suite. De retour pour la deuxième période, l’équipe d’Embrun est revenue aussi constante qu’en première. Alexandre Caron
