CIPP update

Payroll apprenticeship – CIPP and MBKB Training collaborate THE INSTITUTE is delighted to announce collaboration with MBKB Training Ltd (‘MBKB’) to support payroll apprentices across the UK. The collaboration sees CIPP providing MBKB with additional development opportunities to their payroll apprentices through the provision of CIPP’s apprenticeship module content, which has been mapped onto the framework of webinars and study modules provided by MBKB to show the sequence and succession of topics for the apprentice to follow. The CIPP apprenticeship module programme is an online interaction, which has been integrated and aligned with the framework of webinars and study modules delivered by MBKB. The apprentice can enter the online programme at monthly intervals, in a closed cohort, reserved for the MBKB apprenticeship programme. These learners will have a designated MBKB tutor for this learning journey. In addition, the CIPP will be providing MBKB apprentices with an affiliate level membership of the CIPP which will support and enhance their studies and knowledge. Upon successful completion of their apprenticeship the CIPP will be inviting them to upgrade to associate membership. This will allow the apprentice to use the post nominal letters ACIPP after their name and demonstrate their competence and commitment to continuing professional development. Speaking on the collaboration, Ken Pullar FCIPP, chief executive officer (CEO) of the CIPP, commented: “The CIPP is delighted to announce this collaboration with MBKB, and to support their apprentices in their payroll journey. The CIPP is fully supportive of apprenticeship programmes in payroll and providing career pathways starting at this level through to the higher-level qualifications, such as the Foundation Degree in Payroll Management and the MSc in Strategic Leadership.” Mark Bremner, business director/CEO of MBKB, added: “This collaboration provides not only enhanced opportunities within the payroll standard apprenticeships but furthermore gives career development and long-term support. We are delighted to be working

the CIPP to benefit of the payroll sector and looking forward to adding additional opportunities.” To find out more about the CIPP MSc in Strategic Leadership, visit www.cippqualifications.org.uk .
