In 2018 the NSRA invited Lokar Performance Products to be the inaugural “Industry Driven” display and nine years later we are proud to recognize Rides by Wright, a local Louisville high-end custom and restoration shop. A go-to destination for top-tier automotive crafts- manship since 2013, the shop serves surrounding areas, specializing in custom paint. They have an impressive portfolio of complete restorations and full custom builds, many of which will be on display in their Industry Driven spotlight. Be sure to stop by and introduce yourself to owner Mark Wright and the talented crew. Industry Driven
Trailer Storage
In earlier years street rods meant one word, driven. Trailer queens were frowned upon, that is until rodders received a 25-100K paint bill. We like to think NSRA is for everyone so knowing a lot of participants transport their pride and joy in a trailer to accommodate them a paved parking lot is only steps away from the event and is available especially for you. Just across the Phillips Lane Street Rod Entrance to the Expo Center is a paved parking lot for your trailer beginning Tuesday, August 4, at 9am it runs each following day through Sunday, from 7am to 7pm. The entire cost is $50 and if you leave a tow vehicle it will be another $50.
Another large display of vintage fire apparatus, including retired Fire Chief Dave Goldsmith’s ‘50 Ford Shoebox Fire Chief car will be an outdoor delight amongst all the rods. The ’50 was built at the Ford Motor Company Assembly Plant in Louisville and this single-level facility opened in 1925, produc- ing vehicles including the Model A, V-8s, and Jeeps until it was replaced and closed in 1955. The artists will create live pinstriping, lettering and painting August 6-8 with every piece created put in a charity auction with all monies going to the Kosair Shrine Center. Southern Brushslingers
For the fourth year in a row a fantastic play land will blow up in the North Hall of the Expo Center next to the Food Court. Louisville Inflatables from Fairdale, Kentucky, will be ready to put a smile on all kids’ faces Thursday-Saturday from 9am to 4:30pm. Kids will enjoy sliding down the Double Lane Dry Slide before exploring the Castle, competing in the “All in One Sports Toss” or crawling back through the Seven Element O/C to visit the Food Court for some treats.
