Obiorah Fields, LLC - January 2019

E very year provides new

opportunities and complications. Our firm saw some incredible

success this year, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Teri and I both worked on complex cases that challenged our legal skills. In fact, the more cases we worked on, the more we recognized an underserved area of our community. We saw a need for personal injury lawyers, and instead of referring clients to another firm, Teri and I looked at how we could help. That’s what led to our decision to expand our services into personal injury. We’ve created a new division of our firm known as South Atlanta Injury Lawyers. Our goal is to help clients who have been injured or are victims of negligence and security cases. It’s very satisfying to see this venture take off, and we’ve been fortunate enough to serve many people already. We can’t go into detail about our cases in a public forum, but helping others who’ve been injured is incredibly rewarding. To help with this important expansion, we added a new attorney, Charleston Williamson, to our practice. He’s amazing to work with, and we’re so fortunate to have him. Having three attorneys under one roof is certainly an adjustment, but it’s been very beneficial for both Teri and me.

Charleston is definitely the right person to pair with. He’s smart, straightforward to work with, and incredibly passionate about what he does. When you have someone like that join the ranks, the transition is no effort at all. It’s nice to have a balance of age and gender “ PUSHING MYSELF IS SOMETHING I THINK WILL MAKE ME A BETTER ATTORNEY, MOTHER, AND PERSON AS A WHOLE.

With this new expansion into personal injury, we look forward to serving more people this year. Beyond professional pursuits, I’m extremely excited to run my first marathon. In November, I did the Rock and Roll half-marathon in Savannah and caught the bug. When I finished, I saw a woman there who was finishing her 99th marathon, and I thought to myself, “If she can do 99, I can do one.” Certainly, it will take a lot of training and preparation, but personal accomplishments are just as important as professional ones. Pushing myself is something I think will make me a better attorney, mother, and person. We’re incredibly excited about what the future holds. If the past year is any indication, all three of us will have opportunities to make a significant impact on our community.

as well, because the way we each see the world helps the firm serve a wider breadth of clients. We’re happy to have this new dynamic and excited for what the future holds.
