Pre-eminent in Glory and Dignity 1. Universal Subjection to Christ. “ At the Name of Jesus every knee' should bow in Heaven, in earth, and un der the earth” (Phil. 2:10). - 2. Universal Acknowledgment of Christ. “And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God, the Father.” 3. Universal Worship of Christ. “ And every creature which is in Heaven, and on the earth, and under the sea, and all that are in them heard I saying, Blessing, and honor, and glory, and power be unto Him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever” (Rev. 5:13). 4. Universal Kingdom of Christ. “ The kingdomsof this world are be come the kingdoms of o#r Lord and of His Christ: and He shall reign for ever and ever” (Rev. 11:15). 5. Universal Dominion of Christ. “ Thou hast put all things in subjection under His feet” (Heb. 2 :8). 6. Universal Inheritance of Christ. “ That in the dispensation of the ful ness of times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in the heavens and which are on earth, even in Him” (Eph. 1:10). “ For of Him, and through Him, and to Him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen” (Rom. 11:36). This and no other is the Christ of God — our Savior and Lord. His personal, official, and moral glories combined in one perfection, is the truly marvelous story of Gospel and epistle, and the sum and center of all divine revelation. —Walter Scott. We Have Been:— Predestinated according to the good pleasure of His will (Eph. 1:5). Called according to His purpose (Rom. 8:28). Saved according to His mercy (Titus 3 :5). Forgiven according to the riches of His grace (Eph. 1 :7). 2. We Are:— Blessed according as He hath chosen us (Eph. 1:3, 4). Strengthened according to His glori ous power (Col. 1:11).
