o Structures Laboratory 

Description: The Structures Laboratory is a well-equipped research facility for structural testing of small to medium-scale test samples and structural components. The Laboratory also supports research activities related to development of smart structures, intelligent engineering systems, and cutting-edge structural evaluation techniques that offer significant advantages over existing approaches. The Laboratory is capable of testing structural components under static and dynamic loading with controllable temperatures. Polymeric smart actuator and energy observing smart structures can be developed and tested using lab equipment.  Core Equipment • Electrodynamic Shakers • Electromechanical Universal Test System • Scanning Laser Vibrometer • Digital image correlation system (DIC)  Estimated operational date for this laboratory is summer 2018. o High Performance Computing Laboratory  Description: High-end state-of the art computers (at present 8 with 128 GB of RAM and 2 with 256 GB or RAM) with the top-of-the-line NVIDIA Quattro Graphics Cards are available in the Computational Sciences Lab to enable researchers to develop and test high fidelity models and simulations. Ensight VR software is also available on these workstations to permit stereoscopic 3-D visualization of large data sets. The lab is supported by Vega, ERAU’s 3,000 core CRAY supercomputer.

o Large Systems Lab 
