Orange County Celebrates Parks & Recreation Month By: Parks & Recreation Department Staff

Tim Moubray, Director

Tim has worked in the Parks & Recreation profession for 34 years and began serving as Orange County ’ s Parks & Recreation Director in 2011. In his free time, Tim is an avid Carolina Tarheels fan and enjoys being “ Pappy ” to his two granddaughters, Brooklyn and Wilder. His favorite part about working in Parks & Recreation is bringing enjoyment to the community by providing fun and unique opportunities.

Joe Falin, Programs & Facilities Supervisor

Joe began working in Parks & Recreation during the summer of 2005 as a Maintenance Worker and Adult Softball Scorekeeper for the City of Williamsburg. In August 2013, Joe began working with Orange County as the Locust Grove Child Care Site Manager and became the Parks & Recreation Programs & Facilities Supervisor in January 2022. In his free time, Joe enjoys playing video games and hanging out with his wife, Renee, and their two boys, Joey Jr. & Grayson. His favorite part about working in Parks & Recreation is getting the opportunity to meet the needs of the community by providing well - maintained facilities and properly - run programs. Joe says, “ My hope is to provide opportunities and enjoyment to all demographics in Orange County no matter what their interests may be. ”

Matt Hottle, Recreation Programmer

Matt began working in Parks & Recreation in 2013 for Stafford County as an Instructor - in - Training for their Summer Sports Camps and began working with Orange County Parks & Recreation in August 2022. Matt serves as Orange County ’ s USA Pickleball Ambassador and runs weekly pickleball sessions throughout the county. Matt ’ s favorite part about working in Parks & Recreation is getting the opportunity to bring the community together.
