Orange County Says Farewell to Supervisor Crozier By: Orange County Communications

District Four Supervisor, Jim Crozier announced his retirement from the Board of Supervisors effective July 5, 2023. Mr. Crozier served Orange County for nearly a decade, first taking office in 2014. Mr. Crozier was an active member of the board and served on numerous committees and commissions during his tenure, including the Rapidan Service Authority, Rappahannock - Rapidan Regional Commission, FiberLync, and the Central Virginia Regional Jail Board. His current term expires on December 31, 2025. The Board has accepted letters of interest from qualified individuals for appointment by the Board to serve as the interim District Four Supervisor from July 27, 2023, until the special election in November, 2023. The Board of Supervisors will hold a Special Meeting on July 27, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. in the Board Meeting Room at the Public Safety Building, located at 11282 Government Center Drive, Orange, VA 22960. The purpose of the meeting is to review the letters of interest submitted, give those interested individuals a brief opportunity to address the Board during Closed Meeting, and consider appointment of the interim District Four Supervisor. The meeting is open to the public and will also be streamed live on the County ’ s website.
