The annual Festive Rider police counter- attack on drunk drivers during the Yule- tide season starts this weekend. But po- lice are thanking drivers ahead of time who make a point of avoiding getting too “cheerful” during the holidays. The annual OPP R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) campaign kicked off Nov. 23 and continues through to the end of the year and on to Jan. 2, 2014.
