MY ADVENTURE THROUGH NUEVO VALLARTA

The 4th Annual 560 AM the Answer Vacation!

560 AM the Answer has provided more than a platform for me to host my two shows “IRS Radio Hour”and “Trust Radio Network”; it has also proffered opportunities for me to meet several well-known radio personalities, participate in fantastic community events, and join in on fun-filled and memorable vacations all around the world with some of the coolest people you’d ever meet! In fact, just last month, my wife and I joined Dan and Amy (the hosts of 560 AM the Answer) and 20-plus others for our fourth annual trip!

mountains was certainly a sight to behold; I think I speak for everyone when I say that we all a blast! The last full day of the trip actually fell on my wife’s birthday. To celebrate, we found a rooftop bar seven floors up at our resort with an incredible view overlooking the ocean. The rooftop also had a infinity pool, a floating bar, and a DJ. My wife had all of us dancing until 2 a.m. like we were all in college again. Needless to say, it was a birthday that she certainly won’t forget. Trips like this one remind me of how thankful I am to be a part of the 560 AM the Answer radio family. I can’t wait to see what next year brings!

We pick a new location each year. We’ve ventured to Cancun, Cabo, and the Dominican Republic in previous years. This year, we explored Nuevo Vallarta, a beautiful planned resort on Mexico’s Pacific coast situated by Banderas Bay.

"My wife had all of us dancing until 2 a.m. like we were all in college again. Needless to say, it was a birthday that she certainly won’t forget."

For the first three trips, we booked rooms at Secrets Resorts, so while we traveled to different locations, we could predict that the beauty and tranquility of the resort lobby would open right up onto the sandy beach. Nuevo Vallarta didn’t have a Secret Resort, but the place we stayed was every bit as idyllic. The rooms were 1,400 square feet with a full kitchen and a huge veranda. We were only about 200 yards away from the beach, but if we didn’t feel like making the short trek, we had a magnificent pool waiting for us just a few feet away! In previous years, we filled our days with boat trips and deep-sea fishing adventures. But this year, we all rented ATVs and helmets in preparation for one of the most memorable rides of our lives. Home Sweet Home Chicago

David Hochberg of Homeside Financial was our first, and most frequent, guest. David is a trusted mortgage professional. You may have heard one — or more — of his radio commercials. He seems to be EVERYWHERE! David is also the host of "Home Sweet Home Chicago," which can be heard every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on WLS AM 890. Our law firm has been a sponsor of David’s show for years. Every couple of weeks I appear on David’s show to answer questions about the IRS, bankruptcy, foreclosure, and other legal issues. Every week, David and his guests answer questions about real estate, home improvement, credit scores, legal matters, and more. David's extensive knowledge of the mortgage business and his attention to detail enable him to consistently deliver outstanding information and low rates to his clients. Many of the experts on "Home Sweet Home Chicago" are also our trusted professionals on the Trust Radio Network, which you can hear every Saturday evening at 10 p.m. You can also catch our live podcast every Friday afternoon around 1:30 p.m. on Facebook or WatchTalkRadio.com.

"Home Sweet Home Chicago" is a fun show — almost as fun as the IRS Radio Hour and Trust Radio Network. If you haven’t tuned into David’s show on WLS before, you should.

An Important Task ... While Tax Day has come and gone, poring over your tax information in preparation for the coming year might be the last thing on your mind. But, as you probably learned while completing your tax return this year, a little bit of extra planning will save you some hassle when it comes time to do it all again.

Income Projection A helpful tool for you and your family is an income projection. Taking a closer look at these numbers before tax season comes around again will help you better gauge your income and expenses. Create Accounts The off-season is a great time to create an account on IRS.gov. One of the benefits is that you can download a transcript of your tax account transactions, line-by-line tax return information, or wage and income for a particular tax year.

Here are some of the easiest ways to start preparing for next year’s taxes, plus some personal financial management tips that’ll help year-round.

Perfect Systems Whether you prefer high-tech financial management tools like digital vaults, smartphone apps, and accounting software or old-school options like a box, an envelope, and a spreadsheet, now’s the time to start sorting for 2020.

Review Withholdings If your employer automatically withholds taxes from your paycheck, now’s a good time to make sure the correct amount is being taken out. For example, if you only work part time, the withholding may have been estimated based on an anticipated full-time salary, and you’ve therefore been paying too much. Set aside some time to check your information to ensure its accuracy.

Filing taxes can be a complicated process, but preparing early will certainly help. If you run into any issues or have questions, feel free to give our office a call.

Walk to Work Today!

Walk to Work Day

Everyone knows that walking is healthy for us, but not very many people have the chance to stretch their legs. With a busy schedule, you might not have the luxury to get up earlier and get a quick brisk walk in. But that doesn’t

throughout the country. Since its debut, Walk to Work Day has been picked up by people, businesses, and organizations across the world to inspire people everywhere to exercise more. Observing the Holiday To celebrate Walk to Work Day, simply slip on your walking shoes, grab a portable breakfast, and head out the door! Be sure to bring an extra outfit and shoes with you as walking in high heels, dress shoes, and/or dress attire can be uncomfortable. For people who don’t have the time, try taking a short walk around the workplace during breaks or lunch. Getting in a 15-minute walk during the day will help you feel more refreshed and ready to get back into the grind. You can also invite other coworkers or friends to walk with you. Other Modes of Transportation Although Walk to Work Day encourages people to walk, there are other ways to get to work without having to drive. Biking is an excellent means of transportation and can be helpful for people who might have a longer commute. If you don’t own a bike but are still in need of a quick transport between two locations, you can hop on an electric scooter. These scooters have appeared across America over the past year or so and have proven handy for individuals needing to get from point A to point B quickly.
