Annual-Report-2025-EN-Final

Editorial

Holding course, together No society is measured by the scale of its turbulence, but by the quality of the bonds it manages to preserve when everything falters. 2025 was a year of trials: a brutal geopolitical reshuffling, marked by the resurgence of open conflicts and the erosion of multilateralism, the dizzying acceleration of generative artificial intelligence, disinfor - mation that has become an industry, and a democratic fatigue that reaches even into our closest circles. The opening months of 2026 have only confirmed how costly retreat would be today, the most expensive renunciation of all. Behind these tensions, one truth becomes clear: institu- tions, businesses and citizens now form a single fabric, whose resilience depends on the trust each of us agrees to weave with the others. This is what we have endeavoured to embody this year, alongside the 800+ organisations engaged in the B Corp movement in Switzerland, and through the launch of the Swiss Impact & Prosperity Initia- tive. 2026 will be a decisive year. We enter it with one convic- tion: the time has come to rethink leadership. Impact

metrics, however essential, are not enough. It is people who change systems. This is the whole purpose of the playbook Moral Ambition in Leadership — From Vision to Action with the 7Cs, published this year, and of the compass it offers: Confidence, Consideration, Collabo - ration, Constancy, Credibility, Courage, Creativity. Seven inner demands which, when allowed to deepen together, bring forth the coherence our organisations most need. This playbook would not exist without the collective intel- ligence of the B ecosystem, those leaders, women and men alike, who in Switzerland and beyond have shared their doubts, their wins and their lessons over the years. Our sincere thanks to them: they are the true source of this ambition. Three commitments shape what comes next. To turn companies into genuine infrastructures of trust that measure human, ecological and democratic prospe- rity beyond GDP alone. To recognise that the defence of truth has become an economic function, in an age where machines produce discourse faster than we produce meaning. To carry the just transition as our best collec-

tive insurance, at the shared table of businesses, citizens and public authorities. Switzerland has the rare privilege of being both small and listened to. Let us make of it a living laboratory for rege- nerative economics, and the proof that shared responsi-

bility remains the shortest path to prosperity. To all who walk this road with us: thank you. The work begins now.
