A MESSAGE FROM HEAD OF YEAR 7 FUEL EASTER 2024
This Easter, between 2 April and 12 April 2024, Kingston and Richmond Boroughs in association with the Department for Education are running the highly successful FUEL programme once more. There are lots of clubs and activities to choose from and they run across a range of dates, time and locations. The FUEL (Feed Ur Everyday Lives) programme provides fantastic free holiday and activity clubs for children in recep- tion up to year 11, who are receiving benefit related free school meals. When children and young people come to a FUEL club they will be given a hot meal, have the chance to learn about the importance of eating food that is good for you, make friends and try lots of activities. Clubs and activities include: dance, yoga; technology and coding; skateboarding; art and crafts; cooking; indoor climbing; forest schools; karting and lots of sports such as cricket, football, netball, tennis, rugby, river sports and some swimming.

BOOK OF THE MONTH
“One Day” by David Nicholls
“One Day” by David Nicholls is about Emma and Dexter who meet one night on the 15th of July 1988 but go their separate ways the next day. However, the novel follows both of them and their story together every 15th of July for the next 20 years. The Netflix adaptation of the book has recently been released and if you have en- joyed the show, I would really recommend the book because the book version gives you a unique insight into the story.
