L’École secondaire catholique L’Escale a tenu son deuxième camp d’été de volleyball avec 21 inscriptions cette année. Du 4 au 7 juillet, à L’Escale, les jeunes athlètes ont pu développer leurs habiletés dans un sport tout a fait passionnant. At the beginning of the soccer season, it was looking like it was not going to be pos- sible to create a competitive boys’ soccer team for this age group due to a lack of play- ers and no coach. The Raiders defeated teams from Ham- ilton, Kingston and Woolwich to make it to the semi-finals at the annual Ambassador Cup competitive tournament in Kingston. The team then went on to defeat Quinte to advance to the finals. In a very evenly matched, tied 1-1 final, the Russell Raiders rose to victory in a 3-1 shootout victory.
