INDUSTRY NEWS Avery Dennison Advances RFID Adoption With AD Fusion Avery Dennison has launched AD Fusion, a program that addresses how label and packaging converters adopt RFID technology. Powered by SmartFace tech- nology, AD Fusion delivers customizable materials with pre-inserted RFID inlays – removing the tradition- al barriers to entry and helping businesses meet the rapidly growing demand for smart labels quickly and cost-effectively. Smart Label Entering the smart label market has traditionally re- quired significant capital investment, with production tied to specific presses or facilities with specialized inlay insertion equipment. AD Fusion changes that. Designed to help converters scale their RFID offerings with ease, the program delivers a level of flexibility that simply hasn’t existed before, the company states — whether a converter is just starting out or looking to optimize RFID production across its network. Seamlessly Integrated Designed to integrate seamlessly into existing workflows, AD Fusion delivers custom slit rolls that ar- rive ready to print and convert with RFID inlays already embedded. There is no new machinery or additional training required. With ultra-thin inlays that maintain the look and performance of standard labels, the tran- sition to smart labels is now smooth. access to Vendor Partners who want to help their business succeed, other independent converters who are willing to share what’s working, and resources that can make their company stronger and more profitable. This campaign gives converters an opportunity to experience that value with even more confidence from day one. “We know the programs work,” McKay continued. “After serving 180+ converters over the last 17 years, and saving our Members over $25M, we have full confidence that if a Member takes advantage of the programs and all the value FLAG has to offer, they will undoubtedly see a tre- mendous ROI.” Any converter that joins FLAG at LOUPE, meets and participates with FLAG Vendor Partners, and does not see an ROI on their Membership in their first year will have their 2027 Membership dues waived. The LOUPE promotion reflects the broader FLAG Advantage available to independent label converters throughout the year. FLAG helps its Members compete with many of the advantages available to larger organi- zations while allowing them to remain completely inde- pendent. Through FLAG Membership, independent converters can reportedly grow profits through buying group savings and new label sales opportunities; grow stronger through peer networking and technical and business resources; and protect their businesses through disaster recovery support and programs built specifically around the needs of independent converters.
