T HE K I N G ' S B U S I N E S S name of the town to which they were going was Antioch, and this is the town where the people who believed on Jesus were first called Christians, which means followers of Christ, or Jesus. Paul and Barnabas lived in the homes of the, peo ple who loved Jesus for. about a year, and during all that time they preached to the people about Jesus. In those days there was famine just as we have in some parts of the world today and there was not enoiigh food for everybody. When the Christian people in Antioch heard of this need they said they would help. So they began to save money to send to the Christian people up in tne city of Jerusalem. Do you -think the hoys and girls had a share in helping to save money? Yes, indeed, I believe they did just as our boys and girls do today, and no doubt some of them work ed and earned money so they could have a share in helping the people who were in need. You see how these people want ed to help as soon as they heard, be cause they loved Jesus and His love was filling their hearts. Those who truly love Jesus are always ready to help. They love to help when ever there is a chance. Now how are they going to send the money, clothes or food to the people up in Jerusalem? There are no cars, or automobiles, so they must send by men, and they chose Paul and Barna bas to make the journey and take the help to the people. My, how happy the people were as they sent their gifts away by Paul and Barnabas. This is just the place for our memory verse. “It i§ more blessed to give than to receive.” Yes, when we love Jesus, it makes us happy to give. It does not always need to be money that we give. We can give our time to run an errand, or take care of baby brother or sister, or help mother about the house. Then there is some thing else we can give. Kind words. Prayer. Lesson Story. —How many would like to hear some more about Paul? After Paul gave his heart to Jesus, did he keep quiet about it, or did he tell others about Jesus?
