Considering the insufficient staffs and meagre equip ment, it is wonderful what they have done. Much o f the work has developed around strong'personalities. You cannot help being stirred and inspired by some o f them. It is an education in itself to come under the influence o f such men.” A table off the income o f all the mission boards during the past fifteen years gives a comprehensive view o f the increased giv- mg: 1901.... ....$6,228,173 1908.... ....$10,061,433 1902.... .... 6,727,903 1909.... ..... 11,317,405 1903.... .... 6,964,976 ’ 1910.... .... 11,908,671 1904.... .... 7,807,992 1911.... .... 12,290,005 1905 8,120,725 1912.... .... 17,317,366 1906....,.... 8,980,448 ' 1913.... .... 16,043,631 1907.... .... 9,458,633 1914.... .... 17,168,611 1915............. ....$18,793,990

Standardization o f Railway Accounts and a trusted counselor o f the Government: “When I came out to China, I did not think much o f foreign missions or foreign missionaries, but now I take off my hat to the missionaries. I have never contributed much to foreign missions, but when I get home I shall put everything that I can spare into tjhe' foreign missionary collec tion.
