If you have not ventured onto the College website in recent times, then you may not have noticed a new title under the Support College tab, called sponsorship. However, if you have recently attended some of the College activities such as First XV rugby, the College musical Our House , or a rowing regatta or two, you could not help but have noticed the increased signage that clearly demonstrates the valuable new relationships that College has established with the business community.
Many people misunderstand sponsorship, thinking of it as a
donation or grant. However, good sponsorship is clearly a partnership between two organisations which believe that both have a value that will benefit the other in a mutual and corresponding way. In 2016, College has more than tripled the number of sponsorships that it previously has had and a significant number of these are committed to longer-term relationships. This is exciting for the school in that it offers enhanced experiences and opportunities for the boys within the respective sponsored areas. It also raises the profile of the sponsor organisations. We hope you will support these organisations.
