Quilt Contest & Ladies Tea A s she has for many years, Jane Linn will be hosting the Quilt Contest at the Mid-America Nationals. The Quilt Contest always takes place in conjunction with the Ladies Tea. The Tea starts at 1:30pm and Jane suggests you bring the quilts in a little before and you can take them back with you at the conclusion of the Tea. Speaking of the Ladies Tea, your hostess Renee Kaulfuss is promoting “Peace & Love” this year. Step out with ‘60s attire and come get your groove on! Brush up on the era’s news, movies, songs, celebrities, prices, sports and much more. Until then, peace out! Both activities will once again be held in Center Hall of the Expo Building. Ladies Shopping Trip Once again, the Mid-America Nationals will have a trip to the Battlefield Mall taking place on Saturday, May 23. The bus will be pick- ing up at Gate 3 at 11am and drop off at the Food Court Entrance of the mall. The bus will pick back up at the same Food Court Entrance at 2pm to bring shoppers back to the fairgrounds. There will only be one return trip, so you won’t want to miss it. The time and gate change will also be marked in the Official Event Guide. Rock Hunt Returning in 2026 to the Mid-America Nationals is the ever-popular Rock Hunt. Anytime during the event be on the lookout around the grounds of the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds for these specially decorated rocks. Have your kids look for them or even some of the street rodders may find them. If you find one, please take it to the NSRA Merchandise Booth to receive your gift. Good Luck and happy hunting! Spotlight Builder This year’s Spotlight Builder, Samson Design Custom and Hot Rod Interiors is not only an automotive cus- tomization shop, they also specialize in automotive upholstery and sewing services. Located north of Springfield in Marshall, Missouri, when you’re inside the Exhibitor building milling about, stop by and check out their booth.
