Joe’s ’40 Chevy convertible has flawless black paint and bodywork by him, a GM 383 backed up by a Tremec five-speed, 17-inch Budniks wrapped in Michelin rubber, and a blood red interior with countless small details all by Joe. Joe was looking for a ’32 Ford five-window coupe and when he went to see this one, he came across a perfect barn find that still had the original paint from the factory. The guy didn’t want to sell, but a couple of years later it went home with Joe. Joe slipped a chassis from Thunder Road Rod and Custom (he
really liked the way they set up the manual trans) that’s built with Pete & Jake’s bits, an I-beam, a 9- inch on coilovers, Joe went with Blueprint’s 355ci small-block and backed it up with a four-speed. The fenders and the splash pan have been painted, but the rest is the original Buster Green. The front glass is AS2 laminate, but the rest of the glass is original Ford Safety Glass. A paintless dent guy straightened out the body to almost perfection, and some original pinstriping is left. Some things are just too cool.
All that time riding in the ’29 on the floor, in dad’s lap, in buddies rumble seats and the like have left Jason jealous that he only got to experience the very end of rodding’s heydays when he was a kid, but he’s making new memories in his ’57 he has owned since he was 14. The ’57 Chevy 150 was a father\son project that Jason found down the street from his childhood home. The car still has its orange paint and flames from its first build, but now features a JW Garage chassis. The rod rolls on a tubular IFS, a Ford 9-inch that’s spun by a 535-horse LS3, inside a TMI
leather interior is super comfy, and the look is finished off with 18/20-inch Rocket Racing Booster wheels. Jason also loves photography as a hobby and took many of these pictures. Younger Joe must have spent his youth hearing about how cool dad’s ’29 roadster pick-up was while riding in the ’40 Chevy because his father/son rod is a ’29 Ford roadster pickup. The sweet black roadster features blown Chevy 350 power, an I-beam suspension on a ’32 frame, a Ford 9-inch posi, and a blood red interior.
