Joshua Lafferty gradu- ates from 29Below this year. He built his too- cool ‘40 Ford pickup as a grandpa/Joshua project when he was 16. The body and fenders are channeled, it has suicide doors, an S10 chassis, built Chevy 5.3 power, and a speed limit sign for a floor. We can’t tell if the truck is looking cool- er because it’s rustier or if Joshua changed things.
John Robert Rankin out of Vicksburg, MS, just got his ‘92 Chevy S10 pickup that’s mostly stock with 4.3 V-6 and a 700R4 tran- ny. John’s grandpa’s truck has all the upsides so we can’t wait to see where this project goes. Any number of V-8s fit in the engine bay, plus the 4.3 is no slouch on it’s own. Have fun and try not to get many tickets.
Anna Pence out of Pueblo, CO, inherited her ‘76 Ford Maverick and is surrounded by rodders as her boyfriend (Jordan S), her brother (Alan), and dad are all rodders. The Maverick is still mostly stock with Ford 250 Inline-6 power, C4 and wallowing sus- pension. The Maverick is cool having passed that line from grandma’s ride to young girl gets nerv- ous whenever another car comes near.
