In His Image Hon. Wm. Jennings Bryan has given the world, in this splendid volume, some of the strongest challenges to Dar winism and skepticism in general. Its appearance from the presses of the Revell Co. caused the New York Herald to devote a whole page to its review, and other papers and periodicals have commented at length upon it.. The book contains Mr. Bryan’s recent lec tures on Darwinism, which have stirred public opinion in such an extraordinary way. The book is adding to the furore which Mr. Bryan had already stirred up among the liberalists. Every chapter is a challenging, provocative, uncompro mising confession of faith. Be sure to get it, read it, and pass it around. Price, $1.75. The Bible and the Body Here is one of the sanest and most concise discussions of the question of divine healing that has ever come into our hands. It is by R. Y. Bingham, editor of the Evangelical Christian. The healing program of the Word of God for this age is here made plain. At this time there are many inquiries about the subject, and we know of nothing better than this 25-cent booklet to recommend. The Book of Missionary Heroes ' All Christians should be familiar with the thrilling stories of the great mis sionary heroes. We are glad for this new book by Basil Matthews, telling of the daring of the men who have faced all kinds of perils to tell men of the love of God in Christ. Every story is his torically true. Price, $1.50. Our Glorious Hope This new book from Revell, presents a study of the nature, ground, content and influence of the glorious hope of our Lord’s second coming, by Rev. J. J. Ross. Mr. Ross is the author of other very helpful books, among which is his recent work, “ The Kingdom in Mys- _ tery” . Dr. Ross shows that the doctrine of Christ’s coming contains strength and comfort for the earnest believer, and deepens the joy of experience, de votion and service. It is timely and fresh. Price, $1.25.

Modem Theory of the Bible At this particular time when higher critics are firing their heaviest guns, it is refreshing to get hold of some of the fresh things in defense of the faith. This book by Samuel A. Steel, D. D. (Revell Co.) is one of the latest thrusts at the modern theory of the Bible. Dr. Steel believes the Bible to be the in spired Word of God, and he proceeds to show that far from its being a record standing in contradiction to the findings of science and research, it is in reality anticipatory of them and is constantly receiving from them vindication and confirmation. Believers ought to make it their special business to circulate such books as this. Price,- $1.25. The Incarnate Son of God The Christian Alliance Publishing Co. have sent forth this splendid volume by Rev. Henry DeVries, and we are happy to recommend it to all our readers as a book from which all may greatly profit. The book is dedicated to all mission aries and Christian workers who, we are sure, in these times will appreciate these stirring lectures on the immacu late conception; the sinlessness of Christ, His holiness, human nature, humiliation, temptation, transfiguration, etc. Price, $1.50. NO SILENT PARTNERS A minister in Brooklyn was called upon by a business man who said, “ I come, sir, to inquire if Jesus Christ will take me into the concern as a si lent partner." “Why do you ask?” said the minister. “ Because I wish to be a member of the firm and do not wish anybody to know it,” said the man. The reply was, “ Christ takes no silent part ners. The firm must be ‘Jesus Christ & C o .;’ and the names of the ‘ Co.,’ though they may occupy a subordinate place, must all be written out on the signboard.”
