Although his eternal inspiration comes from female characters and abstraction, this Argen- tine artist always succeeds in breathing into them the energy that’s speci c to the place where he’s working. As such, the Belgrade mural known as the Serbian ag is an exceptional- ly inspired re ection of the impression he gained during his rst stay in our capital. This beau- tiful, sleeping girl represents Serbia, which is also beautiful and sleeping and which should awaken from its slumber and inspire all that is good within it. In some way, this mural is asso- ciated with the words of Dositej Obradović’s poem “Arise, Serbia, you fell asleep long ago, and have lain in the dark, now wake up.”
