HOW TO GET THERE, HOW LONG TO STAY Đerdap Gorge is located in eastern Serbia, in the Đerdap National Park. This compound river valley consists of four gorges: Golubačka, Gospođin vir, Kazan and Sipska. Also forming part of Đerdap is Lepenski vir, a place where modern civilisation came to life nine millennia ago, which is also linked to the beginning of calculating time. From Belgrade you can reach Golubac in less than two hours travelling by car. If your plan includes visiting Golubac Fortress and Lepenski vir, climbing up to the observation points, touring the gorge by boat, with the inevitable sampling of Miroč cheese, we recommend that you set aside an entire weekend for your visit.
