Momak koji je napustio rvačku velesilu Gruziju i skrasio se u Zrenjaninu dva puta je ove godine na najvišoj stepenici po- bedničkog postolja slušao himnu Bože pravde. Datunašvi- li je prvo osvojio zlato na Evropskom prvenstvu u Varšavi, da bi u foto-finišu obezbedio normu za Olimpijske igre u Tokiju, gde je bio treći. Odbojkašice Women’s national volleyball team Na Olimpijskim igrama su osvojile bronzu, da bi desetak dana kasnije počele da igraju na Evropskom prvenstvu čiji smo bili jedan od organizatora. Umorne, fizički i psihički, ni- su tražile predah ili alibi, tražile su samo da igraju. Na kraju, poslednjim atomima snage, uspele su da se plasiraju u fi- nale u kojem su Italijanke bile bolje.
