Š larafija više od 80 godina proizvodi dušeke zanat- skim umećem na način koji je svojevrstan spoj tradicije i primene savremenih znanja. Počeci ove porodične firme vezuju se za period pre Drugog svetskog rata, 1934.godine, kada je Đorđe Vukasović, tada 13-godišnji beogradski pitomac, otišao na usavršavanje u Nemačku. Sa sajma novih tehnologija u Lajpcigu mladić je u Beograd doneo tehnologiju izrade žičanog jezgra i otvorio prvu zanatsku radnju za proizvodnju dušeka na ovim prostorima u dvorištu porodične kuće na Čuburi. Šlarafija danas predstavlja modernu porodičnu firmu koja se kroz maloprodajnu mrežu proširila na skoro ce- lu Srbiju, a posluje i u Makedoniji, Crnoj Gori i Austriji.

S chlara a has spent more than 80 years producing mattresses with craftsmanship in a way that is a kind of fusion of tradition and the implementation of mod- ern knowledge. The beginnings of this family busi- ness are linked to the period prior to World War II and the year 1934, when Đorđe Vukasović, then a 13-year-old cadet from Belgrade, headed to Germany to study. From the Fair of New Technologies in Leipzig, this young man brought back to Belgrade technology for the production of wire cores and opened the region’s rst craft workshop for the production of mattresses, in the yard of his family home in the Čubura. Schlara a today represents a modern family rm, which expanded through a retail network to cover almost the whole of Serbia, but also markets in Macedonia, Montenegro and Austria. WHAT MAKES SCHLARAFIA SPECIAL? Hand-made mattresses have a hand-knitted core, max- imum density with additional side connectors between the springs. The superiority of this kind of “heart” compared to the usual factory core is reected in reduced strain on each spring individually, and the springs are also connected at four separate points, which contributes to endurance and longevity. Despite industrial development having improved many technological processes, the human hand still repre- sents the most advanced “tool” that, to this day, hasn’t been outdone by any machine. Schlara a received nal con rmation of the value of this innovation with the recognising of a patent issued by the In- tellectual Property Oce, making this company’s mattress- es unique on the market. Schlara a also produces pillows, quilts and complete bedding, and its main consultants are represented by an as- sociated team of doctors with various specialisations, who

ZBOG ČEGA JE ŠLARAFIJA POSEBNA? Ručno rađeni dušeci imaju ručno pleteno jezgro po- većane gustine sa dopunskim bočnim spojevima izme- đu opruga. Superiornost ovakvog srca u odnosu na obič- no fabričko jezgro ogleda se u manjem naprezanju svake opruge ponaosob, a opruge su vezane u četiri tačke, što doprinosi izdržljivosti i dugotrajnosti. Iako je industrij- ski razvoj značajno unapredio mnoge tehnološke proce- se, ruka ipak predstavlja alatku koju po savršenstvu nije prestigla nijedna mašina. Potvrdu autentičnosti ove inovacije Šlarafija je dobila priznanjem o patentu izdatog od Zavoda za intelektualnu svojinu, čime su dušeci ove firme jedinstveni na tržištu. Šlarafija takođe izrađuje i jastuke, jorgane i komplet- nu krevetninu, a za glavne konsultante ima zajednički pri- druženi tim lekara različitih specijalnosti okupljen sa ci- ljem da se iznedre inovativni proizvodi u svrhu zdravog ambijenta za spavanje.
