N e postoji veće pri- znanje za kulturno dobro neke zemlje od toga da ga Or- ganizacija za obra- zovanje, nauku i kulturu Ujedi- njenih nacija, Unesko, uvrsti na Reprezentativnu listu nemateri- jalnog nasleđa. Posle kola, slave i gusala od ovog decembra grnčari- ja iz Zlakuse je četvrto srpsko ne- materijalno kulturno dobro pod zaštitom te organizacije. Najjači argument za prijavlji- vanje bio je da se u tom selu grnčar- sko posuđe proizvodi na tradicio- nalni način, po recepturi i tehnici koja se ne primenjuje više nigde u svetu. Zemljani lonci, sačevi i pe- kači, bez kojih su i danas nezami- sliva velika narodna slavlja i po- rodična veselja, tu se više od 300 godina proizvode na isti način, po jedinstvenom postupku. Do Zlakuse se može doći od Be- ograda i Kraljeva ka Užicu sa jedne strane ili od Zlatibora i Bosne sa druge. Nalazi se u zapadnoj Srbi- ji, u području Zlatibora, i pripada opštini Užice. Otkud god da stiže- te, najsigurniji znak da se pribli- žavate ovom selu jesu tezge pored puta sa lepo poređanim proizvo- dima grnčarskog zanata. Selom se danas pričaju priče, čuva se tradicija i pravi grnčari- ja. Tu se izrađuju posude od gli- ne, koja se meša sa beličastim ka- menom kalcitom, što omogućava zidanje posuda velikih dimenzija. Peku se na otvorenoj vatri, što je jedinstveno u širem području Bal- kana. Mnogi kažu da je hrana uku- snija kada se sprema u ovakvim posudama, a vredne ruke grnča- ra iz Zlakuse danas prave ne samo posude za pripremanje hrane već i ukrasne posude koje krase pro- store širom sveta.

gible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO - the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organiza- tion. Following the kolo dance, sla- va saints‘ days and the gusle lute, last December saw traditional pot- tery from Zlakusa become Serbia‘s fourth intangible cultural good to be placed under the protection of this organisation. The strongest argument for reg- istering these items is the fact that pottery is produced in this village us- ing a traditional method, according to a formula and technique that is no longer employed anywhere else in the world. Earthenware pots, baking dishes and pans, without which great folk celebrations and family festiv- ities cannot be imagined even to- day, have been produced here in the same way for more than 300 years, according to a unique procedure.
