SOKO-GRAD Soko grad is a fortress that predates the Roman period and is also one of the last Ottoman fortifications in Serbia. Locat- ed on the plateau of the Sokolska Mountains as part of the range of the Podrinje-Valjevo mountains, which extends as a continuous range from Gučevo near Loznica in the west to Avala near Belgrade in the east. During medieval times this mountain range formed the borders between the Serbian state and the Banate of Mačva Hungarian military-territorial unit, while today it forms a natural border between three ar- eas: Rađevina (Krupanj municipality), Azbukovica (Ljubovija municipality) and Podgorina (Osečina municipality). The apple as a gift for the host, the water bottle for toasting travellers, and food for respite and munch- ing during journeys. And when they went off to defend their country, the men of Azbukovica car- ried these bags containing chunks of bread. - In the difficult days of war, far from their own region, these bags reminded Na oko 25 km od Ljubovije uzdiže se impresivna planina Bobija, sa najvi- šim vrhom Tornička Bobija (1.272 m).
