Na svega 20 kilometara od centra Zla- tibora ponosno huči vodopad Gostilje, koji je ime dobio po istoimenom selu i reci. Do vodopada je lako stići uta- banim stazicama, pa ako ste u zlati- borskom kraju, nema razloga da ga ne obiđete. Prizor je nezaboravan – kroz stene obrasle mahovinom probija se voda praveći vodopad visok 20 metara. Voda je ledena, tako da na kupanje za- boravite. Ipak, kapljice koje pršte una- okolo rashladiće vas bez obzira na let- nju vrelinu. Kad se nauživate u pogledu na vodopad, možete da odete u šetnju duž toka reke, koji je pun slapova, br- zaka i virova. Put vodi do reke Katušni- ce, u koju se Gostiljska reka uliva. Sta- za je sređena i trasirana od vodopada, duž reke, do novoizgrađenog mosta. U selu Gostilje otvoren je bazen u ko- jem možete da se opustite posle obi- laska vodopada. Mesto je idealno za celodnevni izlet. Iz centra Zlatibora or- ganizuju se izleti do Stopića pećine, je- dinstvene po vodopadu u njoj, i Gostilj- skog vodopada. spomenik prirode stavljen pod zašti- tu države. U blizini se nalazi odličan restoran, kao i bungalovi u kojima mo- žete da prespavate. Tu su i manastiri Manasija i Ravanica, a na svega dese- tak kilometara od vodopada nalazi se Resavska pećina. If you didn’t know already, Serbia also has many reasons to be proud of its waterfalls. Little is known about them, but there are as many as 90, some more easily ac- cessible, others less so. Here we present to you sev- eral powerful waterfalls and natural beauties that you should visit if your journey brings you to Serbia... VELIKI BUK On the slopes of Beljanica, on the little river Vre - lo, falling from a height of 25 metres, is the Veliki Buk waterfall, also known as Lisine. Until 1990, when the waterfalls of Stara Planina were discovered, it was considered the country’s highest waterfall. Easily ac- cessible, it is marked by a clearly marked trail, and when you arrive you can either view it from a wood- en platform or approach it directly. Also testifying to its beauty is the fact it has been placed under state protection as a monument of nature. Nearby there is an excellent restaurant, as well as chalets where you can spend the night. There are also the Manasi- ja and Ravanica monasteries, and Resava Cave is only ten kilometres from the waterfall. They are all worth visiting. Thus, if you are ready for a weekend in na - ture, this is the right choice. PRSKALO In the municipality of Despotovac, in the unspoiled nature of the Kučaj Mountains, is Prskalo, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Serbia. A miracle of na - ture or a work of art, this slender but powerful stream of water has situated itself on a rock that dominates the space like some kind of sculpture Just twenty kilometres from the centre of Zlatibor, the Gostilje waterfall – named af- ter the eponymous village and river – gus- hes. It is easy to reach the waterfall via wal- king trails, so there’s every reason to visit if you are in the Zlatibor region. The sce- ne is unforgettable – water pushes through moss-covered rocks to form a waterfall aro- und twenty metres high. The water is icy, so forget about bathing. However, the drops that spray all around will cool you down re- gardless of the summer heat. When you ha- ve your fill of the view of the waterfall, you can go for a walk along its course, which is full of waterfalls, rapids and whirlpools. The road leads to the river Katušnica, into whi- ch the Gostilje waterfall flows. The walking trail is landscaped and traced from the wa- terfall, along the river, to the newly built bridge. A swimming pool is open in the vi- llage of Gostilje, where you can relax after touring the waterfall. This place is ideal for a full day excursion. Excursions are organised from the centre of Zlatibor to the Stopića Cave, which is unique for the waterfall wit- hin it, and the Gostilje waterfall.

U opštini Despotovac, u netaknu- toj prirodi Kučajskih planina, nalazi se i Prskalo, jedan od najlepših vodopada u Srbiji. Čudo prirode ili umetničko delo, tek ovaj vodopad tankog, ali jakog mlaza smestio se na steni koja dominira pro- storom poput neke sculpture.
