It repre- sents a genuine air spa, with its clean air proving especially beneficial for those suffering from respiratory dis- eases, but also the place where you can taste the world’s most delicious bread cakes and cured ham. The mountain’s highest peak is Tornik, at an elevation of 1,496 metres above sea level, while this is also the site of a ski resort of the same name, which offers passionate skiers and
boarders four trails, a six-seater aerial chairlift and two surface lifts. How- ever, the main attraction for many tourists this season will be the big- gest adrenalin park in the Balkans, which opened recently at the very heart of the mountain. Now intrepid adventurers will be able to walk over nets, ropes and barrels high above the ground,. KOPAONIK MOUNTAIN ALWAYS HAS SNOW When it comes to skiing, Kopaon- ik is the number one tourist desti- nation in Serbia, but also beyond. British newspaper The Telegraph last
year ranked it among the top ten ski resorts in Eastern Europe, primarily due to its excellent landscaped ski trails, good entertainment and large selection of hotels and private ac- commodation options. The ski resort itself covers an ar- ea of 62 km of ski trails and routes arranged to cater for both alpine and Nordic skiing, which are connected via an excellent system of aerial and surface ski lifts. As much as 97 per cent of this ski resort is covered by an artificial snow system. However, ski slopes are not the only valuable assets of this jewel of Serbia.
