N otes made him into one of the rst Yugoslav rockers, a suc- cessful composer, pianist, key- boardist, songwriter, producer and researcher of the eld of music. His evergreen songs found themselves on- to the repertoire of the most important and popular singers of the 20 th century. At the age of 14, he wrote his rst compo- sition “Leave the Pavements”, performed in the Subotica Gymnasium High School during afternoon tea, was a member of rock band Indexi, and founded the Ko- rni grupa. He will perform alongside the other members of this band – after a gap of three decades – on 31 st January 2019 at the Sava Centre in Belgrade and cel- ebrate half a century since the group’s founding. He is Kornelije ‘Bata’ Kovač, and he’s ready to remain on the scene... “I’ve spent days writing for the mem- bers of Korni Grupa and our concert on 31 st January. It’s tough material for the musicians, and even tougher for me. It was created between 1968 and 1974. If the band members agree, perhaps we’ll continue performing after the concert, to commemorate our anniversary. That would please me.” What music do you listen to at the start of the day? - I mainly listen to The Four Seasons by Antonio Vivaldi, although my favour- ite is Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 6. I also go to every concert that’s conduct- ed by Zubin Mehta. Which part of the day is the most inspirational for work?
Napisali ste i hit Moja genera- cija. – Svojim ćerkama, Aleksandri, Kristini i najmlađoj Anji. I, naravno, unuci Tari. A posebnu novu pesmu mojoj supruzi Sneški.

We were only in 12 th place, but we met the well-mannered and respectable performers of pop group Abba, and very good looking girls Agnetha and Anni Korni grupa je 1974. učestvovala na Evrosongu u Engleskoj.
