MC 2024 Summer Offerings

Dungeons and Dragons Social Skills Group SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL SESSION Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) is a tabletop role-playing game that has been played since its inception in the 1970s. The goal of the game is to collaboratively tell a story that everyone gets to contribute to – there’s no winning or losing. As the story progresses, players must work together to defeat monsters, solve puzzles, and find treasure, while the Game Master (GM) acts as a referee/moderator and sets the scene for the players. This therapy group aims to help participants develop skills and social understanding through experience, allowing participants to apply their social skills in practice, while learning from each other in a fun, supportive environment. If your 11-12 year-old child is imaginative, enjoys fantasy, and/or struggles with social skills, they may be a good fit for this group.
