EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONING SESSION
Executive Functioning for Middle Schoolers Middle school is a huge transition for many students and places a high demand on organizational skills, attentional control, planning, initiation, and emotional control. This group is focused on the development of executive functioning skills most salient to middle schoolers so that they can navigate numerous classes, extracurricular activities, and social interactions effectively.
Gained skills and more about the group: Understand how to identify problems, select strategies, and reflect on progress Learn a system for organizing physical belongings Use a planner effectively and efficiently Break large assignments into steps Tips for getting started and defeating procrastination Strategies for managing impulsivity and distractibility 5 Sessions
Who: Incoming 6th-8th grade students When: August 5- August 9, M-F Group Time : 1:00 PM-3:00 PM Cost: $ 1,850 Led by: Dr. Megan Broome & Dr. Mickell Lethco
