As long-time supporters of its local community, Wavin Ireland is delighted to support the extensive upgrade works underway at the Irish Institute of Music and Song (IIMS) in Balbriggan, Co. Dublin. Sustainability is at the heart of the development and Wavin AquaCell units have been supplied to facilitate stormwater management within the site. The Wavin AquaCell Stormwater Tank helps bring an element of the Institute’s sustainability goals to life by ensuring the storage and reuse of rainwater within the campus. Speaking about the project, Wavin Ireland’s Country Director, Michael O’Donohoe said, “Our company purpose at Wavin is all about building healthy, sustainable environments and this project is the perfect example of how we can bring that to life in a meaningful way for this town, so we are delighted to be able to play our part. Leading heating technology manufacturer Grant has unveiled its newest highly sustainable heating technology – the Grant Spira Pell condensing wood pellet boiler. This ultra-high efficiency wood pellet boiler is one of the most innovative and sustainable boiler designs on the market today and offers a cost- effective, low carbon heat source for homeowners. The units utilise indigenous wood pellets to offer a truly environmentally friendly heating solution. The Spira Pell range is made using high grade steel and stainless steel, with the same simplicity of operation of any boiler type and is available in outputs from 5kW to 33kW. Supervisor, Carmen Rodriguez Ortiz, Consulting Sales DX and April McHale, Heating Sales all presented on behalf of Daikin Ireland, showcasing Daikin’s products and services. Special guest Gülnur Durak, Section Manager, International Key Account, from Daikin Europe shared her insight into working within the Daikin group, having started out on a trainee programme and working her way to section manager.
