We have had record attendance for our Spring Luncheons and the board is planning to continue the year with great speakers and relevant topics that are both educational and thought provoking. January’s luncheon had speaker Jimmy Wright, CPL speaking on the topic of “Role
of Land Administration in Acquisitions and Divestitures.” For February we had Cliff Williams, Senior Counsel for Legacy Reserve Operating, speak on “Horizontal Trespass.” Our March speaker was Mathew T. Scott P. E. with the GLO speaking on “Nobody Reads the Lease.” In April, Briley Leggett, Surface Landman for Concho Resources, discussed “Surface Land.” The PBADOA also had a very successful Spring Seminar held at the Midland Country Club on May 2. Lastly, we are also organizing a CDOA preparation course to be held in the near future.
