Local author publishes book Retired superintendant of education for the former SD&G County Board of Education and author Ken MacLennan will be releasing his newest book, tit- led Everyman’s Prayer Book . The work utilizes satire to evoke and expand new ways of thinking about the universe. In his own words, McLennan hopes to save the world . “I am not anti-reli- gion, anti-government or anti- courts,” he explained. “I am pro- knowledge. It will only be when believers have full knowledge of the true nature of religions, governments and the courts, that the con$icts and atrocities committed between the di#erent beliefs will end.” MacLennan will host a presentation on November 29 at 7 p.m. at the Cornwall Libra- ry. The book is available at Coles.
Visite au Centre St-Joseph
Les élèves de la 8 e année de l’École secondaire publique L’Héritage ont rendu visite aux résidents du Centre de soins prolongés St-Joseph. Le but de l’exercice était de donner suite à des ré!exions sur l’évolution de l’adolescence. Il s’agissait également d’une activité service action du programme du Baccalauréat International. Les élèves ont partagé un dîner pizza avec les résidants et ont joué des jeux d’équipes en après-midi. Selon les organisateurs, les élèves étaient très heureux de leur expérience et les rési- dents du Centre St-Joseph ont bien apprécié l’activité.
