Attention Dealers Oregon ® urges you to read and follow all of these safety guidelines when selecting, installing, servicing or operating any outdoor power equipment. Encourage your customers to do the same.

Air Filters

Brush & Grass Blades

CAUTION: • Shut off engine before servicing or making any adjustments. • Disconnect battery at negative terminal. (for electric start engines only) • Remove and ground spark plug wire • Refer to owner’s manual and follow safety warnings

WARNING: • Check that cutting attachment shields are properly located and in good condition. Never remove, modify, or in any way compromise the cutting attachment shield. • Read and follow all instructions supplied by the manufacturer of the trimmer/brushcutter. • Rigid blades must be used only on brush cutters designed to accommodate blades. Never use a metal cutting attachment on a brushcutter without a shoulder harness, properly mounted barrier handlebar and cutting attachment shield in good condition. • Never remove the cutting attachment shield. • Be certain that replacement cutting attachments are fitted properly with regard to the direction of rotation, the size of the mounting bolt and the size of the arbor. • Do not install Oregon metal blades on any brushcutter capable of spinning the blade faster than 10000 RPM. • Check the condition of cutting attachments frequently. Always replace cutting attachments that are cracked, bent, or warped – even if such damage appears to be superficial. Never attempt to repair damaged cutting attachments by welding or bending. • Always wear eye, face, leg and foot protection during operation. • Keep bystanders and pets at least 50 feet away in all directions. Always clear the work area of rocks, glass, wire, nails or other foreign objects that can be picked up and thrown by the rotating cutting attachment. • Sharpen or maintain the cutting attachment according to instructions packaged with the attachment. • Use cutting attachments to cut only the types of material for which the attachment is designed. • Disconnect power to electrically powered trimmer/ brushcutters before performing any service. • Do Not install metal blades on curved shaft trimmers .

(for electric start engines only) • Refer to owner’s manual and follow safety warnings • Do not substitute any other bolt for the blade retaining bolt. Blades and blade retaining bolts are specially made for this application • Proper torque must be used when tightening the blade retaining bolt; refer to owner’s manual. If this safety precaution is not followed, the blade could come off during operation While mowing • Immediately inspect blade if abnormal vibration occurs WARNING: • Properly support and secure mower when replacing blade. • To avoid possible injury, always wear proper eye and hand protection when servicing mower blade. • Unbalanced or warped blades can cause damage to the mower and/or personal injury. • Inspect the blade(s) and replace damaged blades before operating the mower Blades
