CommUNITY FUNDRAISER HIGHLIGHT
MILES FOR MELANOMA Beginning with month-long kick off in May 2020, Miles for Melanoma run/walks became virtual events. l Includes a week-long series of daily team challenges and “Fitness Crawl” activities leading up to the virtual 5k l Virtual skin health, sun safety and self-skin exam demonstrations conducted by local dermatologists and melanoma experts l Online Celebration Ceremonies recognize top fundraisers and teams, highlight stories from special guests and survivors, celebrations of the local melanoma community
Even in the most challenging times, dedicated MRF CommUNITY Fundraisers across the US continue to have a powerful and lasting impact on the melanoma community.

Warriors Against Melanoma l Founded in 2014 by melanoma survivor Carola Gloyd
l Organized by friends and family of 3-time melanoma survivor Addison Brush to increase melanoma awareness and encourage prevention l Hosted during Melanoma Awareness Month and raised over $22,000
l Raised over $150,000 through annual fundraising events like the annual trivia night – held virtually in 2020!
To date, participants have raised over $200,000 through virtual run/ walks across the United States
