The award is for The South Campus Expansion Project, located in Lititz, PA. The design and construction team consisted of RGSAssoci- ates , RLPS Architects and Benchmark Construction Company, Inc. This project originally achieved LEEDGold status in August and has now gone on to receive additional recognition. The original South Campus has one set of ‘hybrid’ housing units and 42 cottages. Ad- ditional hybrids are planned while eight more cottages are under construction. According to Linford Good of Landis Homes, “the team of RGS, RLPS and Benchmark worked together to promote en- vironmentally-responsible low impact development through LEED certification and other programs that guide and verify the methods.” “It’s a privilege to work for an owner who has such great vision,” states Mike Calla- han , president of Benchmark Construction. “The collabora- tion of the partners on this project allowed us to exceed expectations and achieve this prestigious award.” BROWNS TOWN , PA — Benchmark Construction Company of Brownstown, PA has been awarded a $1.15 mil- lion contract from Fern Hill Ventures, LLC to construct the new Bret Greenberg DVM and Associates Companion Animal Clinic. MulaArchitects, this one-story, 6,500 s/f facility will include 6 examination rooms kennels for over-night stays and will have ultrasound radiology and sur- gery capabilities. The building exterior will have a contem- porary architectural design. Most of the exterior finishes will be silver and dark bronze; however, sections of siding at the front will have both blue and red accents. The front entrance will also have a large cantilevered canopy. The heat- ing, cooling and ventilation sys- tem has been designed by Ken Kauffman and team, from Moore Engineering , and will be incorporating state of the art DX Geothermal Heating and Cooling equipment supplied by Earth to Air Systems. “At Bret Greenberg DVM and Associates Companion Animal Clinic, we are excep- tionally happy to partner with Richard Mula Architects and Benchmark Construction Company to build our new veterinary clinic,” states Bret Greenberg . “This state-of- the-art, client-centered clinic treats every patient individu-
