Novak Đoković je naj- bolji. Ne, nije nam dosa- dila ta rečenica . Taj status je za ovu godinu ozvaničen u To- rinu gde mu je pehar uručio pred- sednik Udruženja teniskih profe- sionalaca (ATP) Andrea Gaudenci. – Ovo je kruna sezone. Završiti godinu kao broj jedan je san svakog tenisera. Jedna od najtežih stva- ri koje mogu da se urade u našem sportu. Uz grend slem biti broj je- dan, to je dugo bio najvažniji cilj za sve igrače. Za mene je blagoslov što stojim ovde. Hoću da zahvalim svi-
ma koji su bili sa mnom. To je tim- ski napor. Ovo je veliko dostignuće i jako sam ponosan na to – izjavio je Đoković pre nego što mu je uru- čen trofej. Đoković je u Torinu obezbedio prvo mesto na ATP listi, osmi put u karijeri, a mi možemo samo da mu poželimo da i sledeću završi na isti način, sa peharom u rukama.

It was in Turin that Đoković se- cured first place on the ATP list, do- ing so for the eighth time in his ca- reer, and we can only wish for him to end next year in the same way, with the trophy in his hands.
