Tasmanian Hospitality Review - Feb/March 2026

ECHO Festival: Workshops, Music and Harvest on Tasmania’s East Coast Each autumn, as the East Coast of Tasmania moves from the height of summer into the richness of harvest, ECHO Festival invites visitors to experience the region through food, drink, music and story. Short for East Coast Harvest Odyssey, ECHO is a boutique, multi-day festival held in late March that celebrates seasonality, creativity and connection. Since launching in 2019, ECHO has built a strong reputation for delivering intimate, high-quality experiences that place Tasmania’s producers, creatives and hospitality professionals at the centre of the program. A defining feature of ECHO is its extensive program of workshops and masterclasses, designed to give guests hands-on access to the knowledge behind the region’s food and drink. Led by local experts, chefs, winemakers and distillers, these sessions invite participants to deepen their understanding of Tasmanian produce, technique and craft. From guided tastings and skills-based workshops to conversations exploring flavour, provenance and process, the program is built for people who want to learn as much as they want to indulge. ECHO Festival INDUSTRY FEATURE

Running alongside this is ECHO’s bold and electric music program, which has become one of the festival’s most anticipated elements. The lineup brings together outstanding Tasmanian and Australian artists, such as Yirrmal, Lennon Wells, Powderkeg, FFLORA x Grace Chia, and many more, for performances that are immersive, energetic and unashamedly alive. Music at ECHO is designed to be experienced up close and in the moment, creating shared, high-energy experiences that sit in dynamic contrast to the daytime workshops and masterclasses.
