GRANT HAS DELIVERED TRAINING TO MORE THAN 500 INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS SEEKING TO ENHANCE THEIR UNDERSTANDING OF LOW-CARBON HEATING TECHNOLOGIES IN 2026 TO DATE... Supporting knowledge & skills development
Grant has trained more than 500 industry professionals through its dedicated Training Academy so far this year, highlighting the growing demand for knowledge and skills development across the construction and building services sector. The programme has attracted builders, developers, architects, specifiers and heating professionals seeking to enhance their understanding of low-carbon heating technologies, building regulations and energy-efficient home heating solutions. Grant’s CPD-accredited training courses have proven particularly popular, providing attendees with valuable insights into heat pump technology, renewable heating systems and smart heating controls.
As the industry continues its transition towards more sustainable building practices, Grant is encouraging construction professionals to take advantage of its upcoming training and CPD opportunities. A range of courses covering renewable heating technologies, product solutions and industry best practice will be scheduled throughout the remainder of the year, helping attendees stay informed of the latest developments and regulatory requirements. FOUR TEAM MEMBERS EACH COMPLETED THE MURDOCK 110KM CHALLENGE TO RAISE FUNDS FOR DAISY LODGE, DOWN’S SYNDROME ASSOCIATION NI AND THE MOTOR NEURONE DISEASE ASSOCIATION… Murdock team completes charity challenge
Four members of the Murdock Builders Merchants team have successfully completed a 440km charity challenge, inspiring a wave of support from local communities across Northern Ireland while raising vital funds for three charities. The Murdock 110KM challenge saw Kevin Murdock, Connor Gough, Drew Fowler and Stephen Patterson each run 110km in just 24 hours over June 11-12. Together, they covered 440km across Murdock’s 11 Northern Ireland branches, running continuously through the day and night. Throughout the 24-hour challenge starting in Dungannon and finishing in Newry, supporters turned out at branches and along the route to cheer on the
team, while volunteers gave up their time to help with driving, logistics and fundraising activities. The challenge raised funds for three charities close to the runners’ hearts: Daisy Lodge (Cancer Fund for Children), Down’s Syndrome Association NI and the Motor Neurone Disease Association. After completing the final leg of the journey, the team returned to Newry where they were welcomed home by colleagues, family, friends and supporters in an emotional finish-line celebration. “What we achieved over those 24 hours was incredible, but what I’ll remember most is the support,” said Drew. “Everywhere we went, people came out to cheer us on and help us keep going.
