AS PART OF ITS 90TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS, GYPROC IS EXTENDING ITS SUPPORT FOR LONG- STANDING CHARITY PARTNER BARNARDO’S… A legacy of partnership
developments, healthcare facilities, education projects or commercial buildings, collaboration remains at the heart of everything it does. The 90th anniversary is also an opportunity to celebrate the people behind Gyproc. From its manufacturing teams and technical experts to customer service, sales and support teams, every individual plays a vital role in helping customers build with confidence every day.
Gyproc, part of Saint-Gobain, is celebrating 90 years of supporting Ireland’s construction industry in 2026. As it reaches this major milestone, the company is reflecting on a legacy built on quality, innovation and trusted partnerships while looking ahead to the future of sustainable construction. To mark the occasion, Gyproc is supporting a refurbishment project at Barnardo’s central hub in Christchurch, Dublin 8, helping to create an enhanced space for children, young people and families. Barnardo’s children’s charity supports vulnerable children, families and individuals across Ireland for a better future for all – because childhood lasts a lifetime. In 2025, Barnardo’s supported almost 35,000 families across its 56 service locations in Ireland. This project will see the renovation and modernisation of two floors of the building allowing for further child and family services to be accommodated alongside support staff. As the building is the national office for the country, the impact of the renovation will be felt across Ireland for Barnardo’s staff, children and families.
The refurbishment reflects Gyproc’s long-standing commitment to creating spaces that have a positive impact on people’s lives and communities. By providing products, expertise and support, Gyproc will transform the floors into a more functional, welcoming and future-ready facility. Kieran Holohan, Managing Director for Gyproc, Saint-Gobain in Ireland, said, “Over our 10-year partnership, we have seen Barnardo’s work make a real difference to the lives of children and families across Ireland. We are proud to support Barnardo’s by helping create a space that will enable its important work to continue for years to come.” Mary Gamble, Director of Marketing, Fundraising and Communications of Barnardo’s Children’s Charity in Ireland, said, “We are incredibly grateful to Gyproc for marking its 90th anniversary, and 10 years with Barnardo’s, through a project that will have a lasting impact. “Our partnership with Gyproc is built on a shared commitment to positive change. This investment will help ensure we have the facilities needed to support children and families both now and into the future.”
