• Stop Signs: All the stop signs have been installed with the new posts and are all at the same height and distance from the top for uniformity. • Street Name Signs: My staff identified 16 street name signs that were either broken or in bad shape and gave the information to our sign vendor for a quote. Since the material that each sign is made from is redwood the cost per sign averages $250.00. Taking that into consideration I investigated a different metal type material to see if it were more cost effective. The cost was considerably less however the material was made from 2 thin layers of aluminum with a dense foam core sandwiched in the middle. This material was very thin and flimsy and for sure not live up to our expectations. As a result, we ordered the new signs to match the existing and they should arrive in a few weeks. Each one will be installed a specific heights for consistency, as will all others be adjusted
