What I did: Supported HR, safety, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions across multiple departments; Conducted weekly new hire orientations, assisted with onboarding, and maintained employee records; Performed data entry, audited business records, and reviewed invoices, credit card statements, and check runs for accuracy; Answered customer phone calls, managed email communications, and provided administrative support; Assisted with employee relations matters and workplace investigations by conducting interviews, documenting findings, and handling confidential information; Maintained vendor records and coordinated the collection of W-9 forms and Certificates of Insurance (COIs); Supported the implementation of a company learning and development platform by meeting with managers, adding employees to the system, creating training materials/communications, etc. What I liked: Gained valuable mentorship from supervisors who encouraged questions and professional development; Built strong relationships with coworkers and enjoyed working as a part of a team; Learned how workplace dynamics and office politics function; Applied concepts learned in college courses to real-world business situations; Gained exposure to multiple departments, allowing me to explore a variety of potential career paths; Developed professional skills and confidence through hands-on experience in a business setting Future Dream Job: Human resources manager!
