What I did: At my internship I entered and reviewed journal entries; recorded accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions; assisted with month-end and year-end close; organized tax documents; assisted with individual or business tax returns. What I liked: During my accounting internship, I really enjoyed the work and gained a better understanding of why accounting is a career I am interested in pursuing. I liked that the work allowed me to be detail-oriented and analytical while still giving me opportunities to solve problems and work with different types of financial information. I also appreciated the flexibility that an accounting or finance career can provide. Future Dream Job: Finance and tax advisor.
