What I did: Monitoring and analyzing raw potato quality. Paying growers for raw potatoes. Paying trucking companies for hauling potatoes. Keeping track of overheads and paying bills for the agriculture department. Handling supply orders. Transitioned systems and contracts for the new crop year (July 1). Assisted the field department with preparing binders for each storage with harvest materials for the new crop. Maintaining waste usage spreadsheets for the plant and other quality reports to help them to decide what raw to order for which skews. Supporting our seed clerk with her overhead expenses. Joining an AI project where we created automatic payment checks, saving our team roughly 20+ hours a week on manual checks. What I liked: I loved that I was able to do my internship in my current job. I was able to learn a lot from the projects that I was added in to, and it gave me confidence to take on more projects that are outside of my comfort zone in the future. Future Dream Job: This is my dream job I would say, but I’d like to do more traveling and work more with AI in creating tools that could benefit the company. And yes, that is a photo of me, my boss and a couple people on my team on a team- building trip in Canada.
